Neet scam: India’s Education Minister, Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, addressed concerns regarding alleged unfair practices in the NEET exam, including suspicious grading practices, grace marks, and a potential paper leak. This year, 67 candidates received a perfect score of 720 out of 720, raising doubts about the National Testing Agency‘s (NTA) evaluation process. The NTA responded by stating that some students received grace marks due to lack of exam time. This explanation, along with the awarding of grace marks to 1,563 candidates, sparked criticism from students, teachers, and influencers. Subsequently, the NTA informed the Supreme Court of its decision to hold a re-examination for the 1,563 candidates who received grace marks. This re-examination took place on June 23rd, 2024, from 2 pm to 5:20 pm.
Additionally, reports surfaced regarding a potential leak of the NEET question paper. This matter is currently under investigation by the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) to determine the validity of the allegations.
