We all know humans sleep, but what about fish? Do they catch some underwater Zzz's?

Fish have no eyelids. They don't sleep like humans but their brains are still somewhat active.

Fish don't have a traditional sleep but they take periods of rest.During this time, they may become less active, change their color, or hide in caves.

Studies show some fish species exhibit their brain activity as similar to sleep stages in other animals.

Fish can't close their eyes. It may help to stay alert from predators while resting.

Scientists are still learning about fish sleep. While it might not look like ours but fish definitely take rest for good health.
